Hey there! I'm Tye.
It's a pleasure to meet you.
Who am I?
From an early age, I always had a fascination with computers and mathematics.
So much so, that my father recounts numerous times where he wondered 'how the heck' I could do what I did on our family PC. Turns out, given enough time, a ten-year-old can learn how to make changes to registries on Windows XP.
When I attended college in 2013, I declared my major as Mathematics in a pure track,
and undertook heavy coursework in subjects of abstract and linear algebra, advanced calculus, and most importantly, computer science.
What I didn't know at the time, was that coding was something I'm passionate about.
That's why, one career, two positions, and four moves later, I attended Tech Elevator to pursue a fast-paced education in full-stack development in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I am more than excited to meet you, and explore opportunities where I can contribute my skills and passions to a company who will, in turn, nurture my advancement and growth.
What do I do?
Aside from your run-of-the-mill Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL programming, I write music and produce art in my free time.
The majority of my hobbies include binge-playing the latest turn-based strategy games, going out for a night of karaoke, and spending time with my beloved cats.
I love to sing, and have gathered a humble following in the Cincinnati music scene. You might catch me at your local bar, plucking a few strings on a Saturday night.
I love to laugh, and I'm always trying to poke fun and obscurity into the mundane. In my opinion, it doesn't matter how boring something can come across as, there is always humor to be found.
I also love to draw. I love art so much that, in my free time, I use Adobe Creative Suite to make works such as these...
What are my qualifications?
I undertook coursework in high school and college pertaining to object-oriented programming.
I've held multiple professional engineering positions for industry-leading companies.
I have a deep understanding for how computers work, not just from a coding standpoint, but from a physical standpoint as well.
I am a detail-oriented, passionate, relatable, and adaptable employee.
The investment that I put into myself at Tech Elevator has created the foundation for a future in computer science, and I am happy to be on this path.
What are my goals?
With my completion of a highly-accredited coding boot camp, I would like to make my entrance into the be-all, end-all career path of computer programming.
To utilize my knowledge and eagerness to learn for a company that will nurture my growth and bring me to higher heights. Furthermore, contributing my best efforts and hard work to become a valuable asset to the company I work for, and doing something I am passionate about.
and finally...
